Enhanced Digital Contents

3.1  Enhanced Digital Contents?
-Analogue audio is often used to refer to audible sounds in the physical world.

-Sound waves are often drawn as a series of peaks and troughs.

3.12  Anatomy of a Sound wave
-There are two main aspects to any sound wave
    -Wavelength and the Amplitude

Wavelength and Amplitude
- The wavelength is a measurement of the length of one cycle of the wave.
-The amplitude is a measurement of the overall height of the wave.

Frequency of a wave and is measured in Hertz(Hz)

The frequency of a wave determines the pitch of a sound.

The amplitude of a wave determines the loudness of a sound.

3.3  Digitizing Audio

-The process of converting these complex sound waves into a series of numbers that can be stored in a computer is called digitizing the audio.
- A channel represents one set of sound waves to be played through a single speaker.

3.4  Compression of Digital Media
Compression is a technique used to reduce the file size of digital media, since it can be quite large in a raw format, particularly audio and video.

3.5  Audio File Formats
